How to Use an Online Promotion Code at John Lewis

If you’re not familiar with how to use a promotion voucher code at John Lewis, here’s a quick guide. These instructions also apply when using John Lewis Gift vouchers.

1. Select a John Lewis Promotion Code. Simply click the ‘Show Code & Open Shop’ button to reveal the code. The John Lewis Web site will open for you in a new window so you can start shopping.
2. Add the required items to your John Lewis shopping basket and proceed to the checkout stage. When you reach the payment details page, you’ll be asked if you have a gift voucher or promotion code. See the screenshot below.

The Promotion Code Doesn’t Work

If your John Lewis promotion code is not working as expected, please check the following points:

1. Has the code expired? You can check the code against the list of expired John Lewis promotion codes.
2. Make sure you copy the code exactly as it appears on the SmartClicks Web site. For example ‘JOHNLEWIS’ is not the same as ‘johnlewis’. Promotional voucher codes are very often case sensitive and need to entered correctly.
3. Does the promotion code only apply to certain products or ranges? If so, you won’t get any discounts on other items.
4. The John Lewis checkout stage features two boxes for entering codes - one for promotion codes and the other for gift vouchers. Please ensure you enter the promotion code in the correct box.
