Gardening Direct plants are supplied as either 'plug', 'ready' or 'super' seedlings.
Plug plants are supplied 4 – 6cm tall in a 'plug' of compost and represent the best value for money, they are ideal for the keen gardener preferring a large number of plants at a lower price each.
The bigger Ready plants are supplied 6 & 8cm tall, and being more mature, can be planted straight into the garden provided that the risk of frost has passed, for best results they should be grown on for a couple weeks before planting out.
Super plants are perfect for those who have less time to spare, supplied 9 – 11cm tall, they can be planted directly into the garden.
